Sujan Ahmed, Dhaka, April 05: Due to perpetual poverty, some poor innocent girls between the ages of twelve and sixteen have become maids and are working in innumerable families in different cities and towns. This time they were supposed to go to school. But what an embarrassment for them! They will always be in the kitchen. Sometimes they are cooked, and sometimes they are brushed house.
It is, however, highly regrettable that most domestic workers are abused by domestic workers and sometimes by house-masters. Such an inhuman incident happened for a housemaid named 'Felani' yesterday. He lived in an apartment in Khilgaon. There he worked for a year under physical and mental abuse as well as harassment. The mistress of the house was cruel enough to torture him when he would get up late or cook late. Sometimes he was beaten in black and blue.
He was rescued by locals and admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Now he is dying in a hospital bed. Police have already arrested the couple. In many parts of Bangladesh, like 'Felani', there are some innocent maids. They are becoming victims of cruelty by their housekeepers, house masters or their children and relatives.
But the victims and the common people feel that the government should take necessary steps for the betterment of these innocent children.

তবে এটি অত্যন্ত আক্ষেপের বিষয় যে বেশিরভাগ গৃহকর্মী গৃহকর্মী এবং কখনও কখনও গৃহ-মাস্টাররা দ্বারা খারাপ ব্যবহার করা হয়। গতকাল 'ফেলানী' নামের এক গৃহপরিচারিকার জন্য এমন অমানবিক ঘটনা ঘটেছিল। তিনি খিলগাঁওয়ের একটি অ্যাপার্টমেন্টে থাকতেন। সেখানে তিনি এক বছর ধরে শারীরিক ও মানসিক নির্যাতনের পাশাপাশি হয়রানির শিকার হয়ে কাজ করেছিলেন। বাড়ির উপপত্নী তার উপর অত্যাচার চালাতে যথেষ্ট নিষ্ঠুর ছিল যখন সে দেরিতে উঠবে বা দেরি করে রান্না করত। কখনও কখনও তাকে কালো এবং নীল মারধর করা হয়েছিল।
স্থানীয় লোকজন তাকে উদ্ধার করে এবং তাকে Dhakaাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়। এখন তিনি হাসপাতালের বিছানায় মারা যাচ্ছেন। পুলিশ ইতিমধ্যে দম্পতিকে লাল হাতে ধরেছে। 'ফেলানী'র মতো বাংলাদেশের অনেক জায়গায় নিরীহ দাসী কিছু চাকর রয়েছে। তারা তাদের বাড়ির গৃহপালিকা, বাড়ির মাস্টার্স বা তাদের সন্তান এবং আত্মীয়স্বজনের দ্বারা নিষ্ঠুরতার শিকার হয়ে উঠছে।
তবে ভুক্তভোগী ও সাধারণ মানুষরা মনে করেন যে এই নিরীহ শিশুদের উন্নতির জন্য সরকারের উচিত প্রয়োজনীয় পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া উচিত।
