Parts Of Speech

 Parts Of Speech:

There are eight parts of speech such as: Noun, Pronoun, Verb, Adjective, Adverb, Preposition, Conjunction, and Interjection.

Definition: When words are classified according to which work they do as small parts of a whole sentence, they are called parts of speech.(একটি সমপূর্ণ বাক্যের অংশ হিসেবে কোন শব্দ যে কাজ করে বা অর্থ প্রকাশ করে তার ভিত্তিতে শব্দকে শ্রেণী বিভক্ত করা হলে তাকে parts of speech বলে।

Examples:

1. Noun (বিশেষ্য)→ Tamim, Taskin, Mango, Dhaka, singer etc.

2. Pronoun (→সর্বনাম) he, his, her, she, her, they, their, them, we, our, us, you, your, I, me etc. 

3. Adjective (বিশেষণ)→ good, bad, beautiful, fine, black, white, nice, fine, fat thin etc.


4. Verb (ক্রিয়া)→ Do, go, come, dance, run, read, fight, kill, swim, cook, etc.

5. Adverb (ক্রিয়া বিশেষণ)→ there, how, when, nicely, correctly, etc.


6. Preposition → in, of, to, for, from, off, by, with, on,about, up, 
along, out, etc.


7. Conjunction → and, or, but, as, if, as if, though, although, etc.


8. Interjection → Alas!, Fie!, Hush!, Hurrah! etc.
